1 - Who is Zeena Xena?
Zeena Xena is a destination for all things Blogging related. From blogging/marketing tips, to travel, fashion and lifestyle. Zeena Xena is all about chasing your dreams and having fun with whatever life throws at you. I aim to always keep it real on my blog. I speak about personal matters as well as general things that I'm interested in, you won't find another blog like this one ;) haha.
2 - What is the best bit about your job?
The freedom for sure. I've always been the type of person that hates answering to people, so I'm so grateful that I am my own boss. I love being able to creatively direct anything that I'm working on, within deadlines I set. It's nice to see that from start to finish, the work has all been planned and executed by me! I also love the fact that in the industry I'm in the majority of people that run blogs as a full time job/hobby, absolutely LOVE what they do. I'm fortunate to meet like minded individuals (like Louise) who really care about their craft and the impact they have on their audience. This really makes me happy.
3 - What would be a good theme song for your life?
Destiny's Child Independent Woman for sure. Right now I'm about Me Myself and I (another Bey reference), being independent and getting by on my own. At this point in my life, I'm selfish with who I give time to/invest my energy in. I'm in a happy place and want to carry on focusing on myself and what makes me even more happy in life.
4 - If you weren't blogging what would you be doing right now?
If I wasn't blogging I'd definitely be Travel writing, I've always wanted to be a travel writer ever since I could remember. I'm so passionate about travelling, as you can probably tell my tweets/Instagram so yes this is the field I'd be in 100%. I still think there's a possibility with that though. I'm always documenting my travels on my blog, so this could possibly lead to another dream job or new venture one day. *Fingers Crossed*
5 - What advice would you give to some who would like to start a blog?
Start now! As they say time waits for NO man so don't just play on the idea and not do anything about it. Before I started my blog, I was on Tumblr re-blogging inspo pictures and posting my own. People would always say "You should start a YouTube channel" and I would always think "I'd love to" but never did anything about it. Now, I look back on all those years I could have been on YouTube, influencing and possibly touching hearts. It's not too late of course, however this is something I could have already been doing. Do your research, find your Niche and go for it! The blogging world is very saturated yes but there's always room for newcomers to takeover!
